Erickson Society for Psychotherapy and Hypnosis (NYSEPH) has been training health professionals in hypnosis for over twenty years. The NYSEPH Training Program is one of the most intensive and comprehensive programs in the country. It offers a 100-hour supportive training program. The training is open to health professionals such as Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Social Workers, Physicians, Dentists, Nurses, Masters-Level Physical Therapists and Nutritionists. Hypnosis has been used in the treatment of pain, depression, anxiety, stress, habit control, posttraumatic stress disorder, substance abuse, smoking cessation, weight loss and many other psychological and medical problems. All the therapists on the NYSEPH referral list are certified social workers, psychologists, psychiatrists or other health care professionals who have completed the NYSEPH 100-hour Training Program and who incorporate Ericksonian hypnosis into their therapeutic work.
