One of the first places people associate with the United States is New York. Of course the city of New York is one of the most popular destinations in the world, but there is a lot to do that actually falls outside of the city limits. 7 – Cave of the Winds. Take a chance and stand under the roaring waters of Niagara Falls. When yo visit the Cave of the Winds, you can take in the falls and then stand under the falls to hear the massive rush of water.

6 – The Empire State Building. This is a staple of any trip to New York City. If you haven't been to the top of this famous building, you haven't seen the city from one of the most amazing vantage points on the planet. Be sure to go all the way to the top.

5 – The Metropolitan Museum of Art. This is one of the largest and most impressive museums in all the world. Many people come to New York just to see this museum. You will easily spend a full day admiring classic works of art.

4 – Statue of Liberty. This attraction has become synonymous with the United States. For years Lady Liberty has greeted people from all over the planet and bid welcome to the land of the free. You should include a visit to this very special National Treasure.

3 – Broadway. You have to get out to see a play while in New York City. There are so many classic and contemporary pieces of theater going on that you're sure to find something that will keep you entertained.

2 – Central Park. The legendary Central Park of New York is a place that you have to visit in person to truly appreciate. You can go any time of the week, but on weekdays the park won't be as crowded as it is on the weekend. There's never a dull moment in Central Park.

1 – The National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum. Head to Cooperstown to visit one of the most beloved locations in the United States. Baseball is the national pastime and this is the place that honors the best throughout the years. Even if you're not a big sports fan, you'll love spending a day in Cooperstown New York to see the Hall of Fame.
